The COVID-19 active caseload in India has declined further to 1,92,308 and constitutes 1.81% of the total caseload in the country.
About 73% of the total active cases are attributed to the states of Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and West Bengal, revealed the Union Health Ministry. The increasing number of daily recoveries and decline in new cases has led to a total net reduction in the active caseload. Seventeen states and UTs now have cases per million population lower than the national average. The country’s cases per million population stood at 7,689, noted the ministry.
